This is my spelling results for term one. I think one thing I did well was getting 10/10 every time. One thing I want to improve is practising more. Below is the link to my result spreadsheet.

Huia Sailing Experience
Yesterday we went to Taipa Sailing Club for a sailing experience. Some of us, including me, have already been sailing before. We were split into two groups, the first one went out onto water straight away and the second one did some activities on land. Group two was then split into more groups and then we did a rotation with the activities. I had to do the pulley station first, where we had to read some instructions and figure out how to lift weights with a rope and some pulleys. Then we went to sail designing, where we tried to figure out how big the sail was and drew it in sand on the beach. Next we went to the knot tying station and there was a bunch of knots we had to try to copy. Last there was foil boats, we had to make little boats out of aluminium foil and see how many marbles we could put in them before they sank. I got 42 and that was the most. 🏖
When we finished that and the Group One returned, we had lunch and then Group Two went out onto water. We had to put on some life jackets then we got into buddies and we were towed off out to sea in the boats. We just sailed around for a bit but then the adults threw some coloured floating balls out and we got to chase and collect them. They also threw in rubber duckies, and me and Kowhai started stealing them from others because we had none. We practised capsizing and flipping the boat back up. Then we were towed back and we went home.
