Kiwi Can Lesson

 09/09/20

I.A.L.T upload our Kiwi Can reflection to our blog.

This morning we went to another Kiwi Can lesson. Shale and Jodesy introduced the word 'accountability' and that's what we will be working on this term. They said accountability means owning up or taking responsibility if you do something bad. We have a new catchphrase today, and it goes like, "We are honest. We are true. We take ownership for what we do." We played two games that were supposed to help teach us accountability: High Tide(,) Low Tide and Impossible Connections. Impossible connections is where you dance when the music plays, freeze when it stops, and then a number and body part is called out. For example, if the number seven is called out along with toes, (just an example,)then everyone has to join into a group of seven and touch toes. When you are done, your group has to sit down, and which ever group sits last is out, or if you have not enough people/more people than the number called, your out. High Tide(,) Low Tide is where you sit on a seat and if Shale or Jodesy say "high tide", you stand up, but if they say "low tide", you sit down. If you are too slow or do the wrong action you are out and have to sit on the floor. At the end we played JKQ which stands for General Knowledge Questions.

Here are a few pictures of us playing the games:

Impossible Connections (Grouping Bit)

At KiwiCan today I enjoyed playing the games because they were fun. My favourite was the dancing part of Impossible Connections and tall of High Tide(,) Low Tide.

One thing I found challenging was getting into groups in Impossible Connections. It was really hard when people already had a group.

Have you had a lesson with KiwiCan?

Have you ever played any of the games I mentioned?
