W.A.L.T reflect on our class trip.

On Tuesday the 14th, our class went on a trip to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. We got there after approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by bus. When we made it to the grounds, we went on a tour to see the canoes (there were five of them) and all the patterns carved onto them. There was a very big tree stump there too. We also went to a museum and saw some paintings of the treaty signing and talked about that for a bit. When we got back to the learning room, we got into groups and were giving a bunch of jumbled numbers from 1 to 50. The idea was to work as a team and think of strategies to order the numbers correctly before the other teams. Later on, we used surface tablets to create a quick project on Scratch showing a quiz to test people's Te Reo Maori.

Below are a few pictures of our trip to Waitangi Treaty Grounds:

While on this trip, I enjoyed creating the projects on Scratch because it was fun to animate the characters.
I found the patterns interesting because they tell a story.

Have you been to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds?
Have you created something on Scratch before?
